Reiki

Come for a Class and learn Reiki or Recieve a Reiki treatment and enjoy this ancient Japanese form of healing. 

A study done in 2007 by the National Health Interview Survey indicates that 1.2 million adults and 161,000 children received one or more sessions of energy healing therapy such as Reiki in the previous year. According to the American Hospital Association, in 2007, 15% or over 800 American hospitals offered Reiki as part of hospital services.

Meditation

How can Meditation help with healing from abuse?  Meditation has been scientifically studied throughout the years to aid in the healing process associated with stress as well as for mental & physical health.

With the hectic pace and demands of today's society, a victim of abuse many times will find themselves in a survival mode and many of  feel stressed and over-worked.  The stress and tiredness has a significant impact on our bodies and minds, and we feel unhappy, impatient and frustrated. This often transitions over into our health.  "Who has the time?" By meditating you actually gain more time by calming your mind, and staying focused. 

A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance. It can  also aid in the healing from abuse and gain clarity needed to deal with legal matters that may arise.

Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Overcoming negative minds and cultivating constructive thoughts is the purpose of the transforming meditations.

There is a direct connection between stress and different diseases.  Medical research shows that two-thirds of all visits to family physicians are due to stress related symptoms.

Have you ever gone to your physician while not well, only to be told "it is just stress - go home and relax"?  The challenge is if you knew how to relax to begin with, you would not be at your doctor's office seeking help.  Right?  Many people feel they are spinning their wheels and not getting better and searching for answers with no feeling of end in sight.

Holistic Health and Nutritional Coaching

Introduction $25  -  Are you curious about health and nutrition coaching and want to explore your options? Meet with one of staff for a brief overview of what we offer, have your questions answered, and gain some customized insight into how coaching can benefit your health.

Assessment and intake $125 -  All new clients must complete a health history intake with Erin to identify and discuss client needs, goals, concerns, and plans. The client will receive nutritional information and suggestions as determined appropriate during the intake

What is Nutrition Coaching?

Anyone who has attempted to change something about themselves knows the process of changing is no small feat. Pair this often overwhelming notion of change with the multitudes of dietary theories constantly competing for the limelight and a lack of knowledgable support, and taking control over your health can seem like an insurmountable obstacle.

Health and Nutrition Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that can deeply improve your health and happiness. Erin considers everything that contributes to our well-being and health: what she calls “primary food” or all the things that feed and nourish our bodies, minds and spirits, like career, relationships, movement and exercise, spirituality, sleep; as well as the actual food we eat that directly affects our physical bodies. Acting as an informed guide, Erin listens deeply, provokes your inner wisdom with mindful questioning, and helps you navigate the world of contradictory nutrition theories to help you determine what changes are necessary for you and how you will make these lasting changes. Most importantly, she gives people the tools they need to harness and sustain their own health and wellness.
